CLEAR MG PROFESSIONAL is the high-fidelity open headphone for music production professionals, producers and sound engineers designed and manufactured in France by Focal. With a high-performance magnesium diaphragm, these recording studio headphones provide excellent dynamic response combined with the ability to reproduce the finest details across the entire audio spectrum. Honeycomb grilles on the inside and outside of the earcups allow for excellent spatial performance, very similar to monitor listening.

FOCAL innovation that makes a difference

Clear Mg Professional is an open circumaural headphone designed for music producers who require quality listening and faithful and rapid transduction of the audio signal, which in this model is fulfilled through an M-shaped magnesium inverted-dome driver. Developed after 4 years of research and development by Focal engineers, this newly developed diaphragm incorporates the main elements useful in making a professional headphone such as lightness, rigidity and damping capability. Sound characteristics typical of the world of HI-FI headphones-in which the St. Etienne-based brand has established itself since 2016-combine with the comfort and precision required by mixing engineers.

Precision and dynamics in the Focal Clear MG Pro

Thanks to a new all-magnesium diaphragm combined with a 25mm-diameter, 5.5mm-high voice coil, the resulting sound experience is precise, rich in detail across the spectrum, and respectful of tonal balance. The honeycomb grille located on the inside of the earcups extends high-frequency output and following the M-shaped profile of the cone helps reduce refractions and negative effects. With uncompromised extension down to 24kHz (maximum extension 28 kHz), transient response and high frequencies will be extremely faithful and linear. The wide-mesh grille on the outside of the earcups provides a more spacious feel than classic headphone listening, for a better representation of the sound field, much like listening from your studio monitors. The low impedance (55Ohm) also allows you to use these open headphones on the move, connected directly to computers.

Comfortable and luxuriously finished

In designing the Focal Clear Mg Professional headphones, meticulous attention was paid to aesthetics, modern yet understated as required by professionals, and to comfort. The design of the constant-curve arch allows even distribution of the headphone's weight over the entire head on which it rests with padding covered with a perforated microfiber fabric. The outer part of the arch, on the other hand, is lined with black leather. The yoke that connects from the arch to the earpads is made of a sturdy aluminum covered with a textured scratch-resistant black paint. The earcups rest gently on the ears with a 2cm-thick memory foam padding covered with a layer of perforated microfiber. Included you will find a convenient hard case (thermoformed) for carrying your Focal Clear Mg Professional, two 24 AWG pure OFC copper low resistance cables and replacement earcup pads.
