Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer RX7 - HF Z860-1507-00

The Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer RX7-HF Horizontal Fire is a decoupling platform specifically designed for near-field monitors. It has been engineered specifically to minimize vibrations caused by speaker movement.

The Recoil Stabilizer consists of three layers. A high-density urethane foam base acts as an insulator to prevent the transmission of vibrations to the support surface. A laser-cut steel plate serves both as a platform for the speaker and as a stabilizing mass. Finally, a thin, non-slip neoprene sheet is used to hold the monitor securely in place. The Recoil Stabilizer works simply by placing the speaker on the stand; no additional steps are required. All Recoil Stabilizers are available in three versions that allow you to angle the speaker not only horizontally but also upward or downward.

How They Work

By reducing speaker vibration, you'll immediately notice that transients are clearer and more precise. Upon first listen, you'll notice more punch and a broader, more defined low-frequency range. After further listening, you'll begin to notice greater detail across all frequencies, improved transient response, and a significantly more defined stereo image. By eliminating all resonances caused by the speakers resting on your stands or mounts, your mixes will sound their best.

How the Recoil Stabilizers Are Made

The Primacoustic Recoil Stabilizer RX7-HF is a decoupler for near-field monitors consisting of four key components:

  • Non-Slip Rubber (1): The thin, non-slip neoprene surface secures the monitor to the top surface for maximum grip, ensuring proper vibration transfer.
  • Steel Plate (2): The 6 mm laser-cut steel plate adds the mass needed to hold the speaker firmly in place.
  • Curved front panel (3): Eliminates standing waves and adds mass to the platform without increasing its footprint.
  • High-density acoustic foam (4) provides the necessary acoustic isolation to eliminate coupling between the speaker and its mounting base.

What Does "Horizontal Fire" Mean?

Horizontal Fire - The HF model is designed to ensure that the speakers are positioned in line with the surface. This makes the HF the ideal choice for adjustable stands and for mounting in any situation where you want to add 5 cm of height. This is also the preferred format for isolating subwoofers.
