Simple, elegant and feature-rich tuner. GA-50 is the standard tuner recommended by KORG for every guitarist or bass player. The new display has a larger note name indicator, which makes it much easier to read. GA-50 packs maximum functionality into a slim and compact body, offering high-precision tuning under all operating conditions.
GA-50's LCD screen displays the string number and note name in the center of the display. This indication now possesses a larger size and thus better visibility. The virtual needle indicator quickly and accurately displays each detected pitch. The operation of this instrument is simple and straightforward ideal even for beginners.
Guitar and Bass modes, with support for 7-string guitars, and 5- or 6-string basses
Guitar or bass mode can be selected. In each mode of operation, the string number is displayed next to the note number, allowing you to tune correctly and accurately. Guitar Mode also supports 7-string guitars, while Bass Mode is compatible with 5- or 6-string instruments. Dropped tunings are also supported from: one semitone lower to a maximum of five semitones lower.
The Sound Out mode activates a reference signal from the internal speaker, In this way it is possible to tune the instrument with an acoustic as well as visual aid. This can be especially convenient when the instrument's strings are replaced, starting their first tuning with the sound signal, and finishing it later with the visual indicator.
GA-50 is equipped with an output jack, which allows you to check the tuning of your instrument even during a performance.
GA-50 has an operating range of 135 (with zinc carbon batteries). When the batteries are about to run out, the display shows an appropriate indicator to suggest precisely their replacement.
A newly designed mechanism reduces the chances of the unit tipping over, also decreasing the risk of it slipping or falling when placed on a lectern. This makes it possible to concentrate on playing without fearing that the tuner will fall off.
The Memory Backup function stores the calibration, and Sound Out mode settings, even after the unit is turned off (during battery replacement these settings are initialized). Auto Power Off automatically turns the instrument off after 20 minutes of inactivity.
The folding stand gives added stability to the tuner, while the sliding battery compartment cover is designed as a single piece, integral with the unit itself, eliminating the possibility that it could be misplaced when replacing batteries.
