Korg microAUDIO 722

KORG microAUDIO 722 is a 24-bit/192 kHz desktop format USB-C audio interface with 2 inputs and 2 outputs, ideal for home recording, streaming and music production. It records vocals, instruments and Line/Hi-Z sources thanks to professional preamplifiers, built-in dynamics processors (compressors, limiters and gates) and an analog filter inspired by the miniKORG 700S. It also features Loopback function, MIDI In/Out, zero-latency monitoring and instant control of headphones and main outputs. Power is supplied directly via USB bus.

High-quality componentry

The microphone and line inputs use a high-quality audio operational amplifier with a fully balanced configuration. Line inputs feature a buffer circuit that ensures low noise and distortion.

Audio support up to 24-bit / 192 kHz

The unit is powered through the USB-C port just plug it into your computer to start using it.

Mic/Line Inputs (Hi-Z)

Combo jacks accept XLR or jack connectors and support balanced signals. XLR inputs offer +48 V phantom power. A stereo link function is available that allows both inputs to be used as a stereo pair, adjusting gain with a single control. The outputs are on balanced TRS jacks.

Loopback function

Allows you to use audio played from your computer in streaming, video chat or as a source for sampling in your DAW.

Direct monitoring with dedicated mix

Enables zero-latency monitoring, with the ability to mix the direct signal with audio from the computer.

Built-in DSP for dynamics control

Each channel has noise gate and compressor/limiter. The parameters have been carefully selected to allow quick and effective adjustments.

Analog filter of the miniKORG 700S

The filter faithfully reproduces the characteristics of the original, with low-pass, high-pass and bypass modes. It includes continuous resonance control and an LFO/envelope follower to create more extreme modulations. A mono/stereo switch allows you to filter a single channel or maintain stereo pass-through.

Analog filter use in DAW as well

The signal can be sent from the computer to the analog filter and back via USB, allowing the filter to be applied to any track or sound played by the computer.

Standalone operation

microAUDIO 722 can also be used without a computer as an analog filter or effects processor. It can be integrated into any setup: as an auto-wah for guitar/bass, as a filter for digital synths, or as a final effect in live performances or DJ sets. The software editor also allows DSP effects (noise gate and compressor/limiter) to be configured in standalone mode.

Built-in MIDI IN/OUT

Allows hardware synchronization or MIDI control via computer. The LFO can be synchronized to BPM via MIDI for modulations that are always in time.

microAUDIO Editor

microAUDIO Editor is a microAUDIO 722 compatible application dedicated to editing effect parameters including Noise Gate and Compressor or Limiter and configuring MIDI settings. When connected to the microAUDIO 722, it also makes filter parameters available, which automatically synchronize with the unit's knobs.
