75 ohms right down the line! Both the cable and the RCA connectors that make up our D7-SPDIF-Video cable have impedance of precisely 75 ohms. The attenuation – an important feature for coaxial digital cables – is excellent. The strands are enclosed in a PE insulating layer, then a braided shield (coverage > 85 %) with a rugged PVC outer jacket – yet the diameter is still under 6 mm. D7-SPDIF is suitable for both S/PDIF signals and analogue composite video. The shorter versions are used for patch cables.
