Genelec 1238DF with RAM-L

Genelec 1238CF is a compact-sized 3-way monitor equipped with DSP circuitry to control dedicated drivers and amplifiers. 1238CF is compatible with the software-based control system GLM (Genelec Loudspeaker Manager) and can coexist in a network with all Genelec 8200/7200 series products.

1238CF is optimized for systems with one or more subwoofers for medium-sized control rooms. Recording studio, film, video or broadcast post production, and mastering studios are its natural environment. 1238CF is designed to give its best whether placed on a stand or recessed into the wall (flush mounted) of the control room. If flush-mounted on the wall, enough space must be left behind the monitor for ventilation to dissipate the heat produced by the amplifiers located on the back of the speaker.

DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide) technology, developed by Genelec, provides excellent frequency balance and stereo imaging even in less than optimal listening conditions. Versatile crossover control allows the monitoring system to be adapted to the listening environment. Built into the chassis is a robust amplifier isolated from external vibrations by special hinges that allow easy opening of the rear compartment for inspection and maintenance.

The cabinet is constructed of painted MDF, specially designed to eliminate structural vibrations.
