The Genelec 8020C compact monitoring system is designed for use in a wide variety of situations. In any case, the small size of the 2-way active monitor in no way detracts from the quality and balance of acoustic reproduction typical of the Genelec brand, adopting many of the ingenious innovations designed to minimize any form of distortion.

The ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) function reduces the system's power consumption to less than 0.5 watts by putting the monitor on standby automatically when no signal is detected on the inputs for a specified amount of time. As soon as an input audio signal is detected, the system is turned back on instantly. This ISS function is compatible with the new EU standards and the 2013 ErP Directive regulating the consumption of electronic equipment.
