Genelec 8030CM

Genelec 8030B is a 2-way biamplified nearfield monitoring system with the new Class D amplifiers, ideal for project and home studios as well as workstations and surround sound systems.

ISS function

The ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) function reduces the system's power consumption to less than 0.5 watts by putting the monitor on standby automatically when no signal is detected on the inputs for a specified amount of time. As soon as an input audio signal is detected, the system is turned back on instantly. This function is compatible with the new EU standards and the 2013 ErP Directive.

Iso-Pod

The 8030B is equipped with Iso-Pod (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler), a stand that eliminates any sound coloration by decoupling the monitor from the surface on which it is placed. Iso-Pod also allows the monitor to be angled to point it perfectly toward the listener, either vertically or horizontally.

Compatibility with Subwoofers

If you need more sound pressure and a more extended downward frequency response, the natural complement to the 8030B is the 7050B subwoofer for stereo systems or 7060B for surround systems.

DCW Technology

All 8000 series monitors include DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide) technology, which ensures accurate stereo imaging and optimal frequency balance even in less than ideal listening conditions.

Design and Finish

The die-cast aluminum cabinet features a semi-matt finish and acoustically optimized grilles. The combination of DCW waveguide, rounded corners and MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure) curvature ensures a flat frequency response both on and off-axis.
