Genelec 8030CRW

Genelec 8030B is a biamplified 2-way nearfield monitoring system with new Class D amplifiers, ideal for project and home studios as well as workstations and surround systems. The ISS (Intelligent Signal Sensing) function reduces the system's power consumption to less than 0.5 watts by putting the monitor on standby automatically when no signal is detected on the inputs for a specified amount of time. As soon as an input audio signal is detected, the system is turned back on instantly.This ISS function is compatible with the new EU standards and the 2013 ErP Directive regulating the consumption of electronic equipment.

The 8030C is equipped with Iso-Pod (Isolation Positioner/Decoupler), a stand that can eliminate any sound coloration by decoupling the monitor from the surface on which it is placed. Iso-Pod also allows the monitor to be angled in order to point it perfectly on axis toward the listener, either vertically or horizontally. If you need more sound pressure and a more open downward frequency response, the natural complement to the 8030B is the 7050B subwoofer for stereo systems, or 7060B for surround sound systems. Common to all monitors in the 8000 series are the unique dedominated DCW (Directivity Control Waveguide) technology that can ensure distinctly accurate stereo imaging and balance between frequencies even in suboptimal listening situations, the unique reflex port design built into the die-cast aluminum cabinet with semi-matt finish, and acoustically optimized speaker protection grilles.

The combination of the waveguide control, Genelec Directivity Control Waveguide (DCW), rounded corners and the subtle curvature of both the front and cabinet, MDE (Minimum Diffraction Enclosure), result in a surprisingly flat frequency response both on- and off-axis.

Another major advantage is extremely accurate and detailed imaging and minimal listening fatigue. A sophisticated crossover filter system treats the signal that is sent to the amplifiers: each ultra-low distortion speaker has a dedicated one. 8030B is equipped as standard with magnetic shielding, overload protection circuitry and a versatile room correction system. Holes on the back allow proper and secure wall mounting.
