Management Device for Audio-over-IP Networking

For audio professionals using Audio-over-IP (AoIP) connectivity, the Genelec 9401A allows Smart Active Monitors and Subwoofers (SAMs) to be integrated within configurations using ST2110, AES67 and Ravenna streams as sources. It also fully supports acoustic calibration via our powerful Genelec Loudspeaker Manager (GLM) software for stereo or immersive systems.

The Genelec 9401A works by converting AoIP streams (ST2110, AES67 and Ravenna) to AES/EBU outputs, providing 16 channels of digital audio through the device's DB25 connector, usable in Genelec SAM monitoring systems. The 9401A also includes a dedicated subwoofer output and a flexible auxiliary stereo output for monitoring.

A single Genelec 9401A supports all popular immersive formats, such as 9.1.6, while the use of multiple units allows the number of channels to be increased even further, supporting large configurations such as 22.2. Multiple SAM subwoofers can be connected to extend low-frequency performance for LFE or for more flexible bass management. The 9401A is fully compatible with our UNIO platform, which allows you to integrate in-room and personal headphone monitoring with maximum accuracy.
