SE Electronics Gemini II

The Gemini II model represents sE Electronics' most ambitious project yet: the dual-valve design provides authentic tube warmth from the 12AX7 input tube, coupled with a 12AU7 tube in the output stage instead of the traditional transformer.

The result is a perfectly detailed sound reminiscent of the classic sound of historic tube microphones, but with all the features you can expect from the best solid state microphones on the market today.

sE - Sound Engineering - is universally regarded as one of the 'top brands' in the studio microphone industry, with a well-established international reputation, suffice it to say that in its albeit short history it has already become the number one brand in Britain and with the fastest growth in popularity in Europe.

Used by professionals of the caliber of Stevie Wonder and Courtney Pine, sE transducers have established themselves in recent years for a perfect combination of quality and affordability of microphones, as can easily be testified by the enthusiastic reviews that have appeared in the main international industry magazines, the many awards ('Mix Certified Hit' and Mia Music Awards in 2006 as 'Mic of the Year') and the great satisfaction with which an increasing number of professionals work with this brand.

The sE mics are made in a handcrafted production cycle, the capsules are entirely 'hand made' (!), and the extraordinary quality and obsessive attention to detail is evidenced by the fact that every single microphone before leaving the factory undergoes a specific test by sE's sound engineers, not just a simple machine. After all, if the likes of Rupert Neve decided to partner with sE Electronics for 2008 to produce a new range of Rupert Neve Signature microphones, there must be a reason...
