AKAI Professional MPC LIVE III

With an 8-core processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of mass storage, the Akai Pro MPC Live III is the most advanced and powerful standalone DAW ever created. The next-generation MPCe pads allow for maximum expressiveness: in addition to being velocity- and pressure-sensitive, they control parameters on the X- and Y-axes, and in Drum mode they can be divided into 4 sections to play as many sounds from each pad. The USB-C port allows transfer to and from computers or tablets of as many as 24 audio channels and 32 MIDI channels, both input and output. The new combo inputs with preamp (XLR/Jack) have phantom power. The built-in stereo speaker system and microphone coupled with the lithium-ion battery allows you to produce and play on the go, with complete freedom.

  • More power, more cue to your creativity

AKAI PRO MPC Live III retains the DNA that has made Music Production Centers a reference for entire generations of producers and beatmakers, enriching it with new tools for expressiveness and control. In addition to the 7" multi-touch display that makes workflow simple and immediate, the MPCe (MPX expressive) pads, sensitive not only to speed and pressure but also to three-dimensional finger movement, transform finger-drumming and your synth performances into dynamic gestures that modulate filters, effects, and parameters in real time. The 16 RGB step buttons allow intuitive and visual programming, recalling the style of classic drum machines, while the touch-strip is at your disposal to manage bending and modulations with the swipe of your finger, making every live set immersive. In the AKAI MPC LIVE III, within each project you can manage 128 MIDI tracks, load up to 32 virtual instrument tracks, and record/load/manage up to 16 audio tracks.

  • Advanced sequencer and automations

MPC Live III's sequencer goes far beyond the MPC tradition: each pattern can include parameter automations, velocity variations and polyrhythms, with steps of different lengths. The 16-button hardware mode offers direct access to functions such as drum sequence, note sequence, automation record, clip launch, track mute and next sequence, turning programming into a direct, instantaneous interaction experience. Automations can be recorded step-by-step or in real time, resulting in rhythmic and timbral evolutions that are difficult to achieve with conventional sequencers.

  • The MPC3 OS

The new MPC3 OS has redefined the workflow by integrating modes that combine the best of software DAWs with the immediacy of hardware. Main Mode allows you to record, quantize, and edit sequences with precision. Clip Matrix introduces real-time clip launching, with adjustable quantization, clip legato, copy and merge options, and clip flattening functions with the Elastique Pro algorithm for studio-quality time-stretching and pitch-shifting. Arrange Mode turns sessions into complete tracks with DAW-style linear editing: copy, paste, duplicate, nudge, measure insertion, and advanced grid management. XYFX and Q-Link Edit enable live modulations with multi-touch gestures and customizable macros, ideal in live performance.

  • AKAI MPC Live 3 Sound Library and Plug-ins

MPC Live III integrates a suite of virtual instruments that covers every sonic need. From synthesizers such as DrumSynth,TubeSynth, OPx-4, Hype and Fabric to iconic instruments such as Mellotron, Solina, Organ and Stage Piano, to the advanced sampling engine with chopping, auto-sampling and Pad Perform. For vocals, dedicated plug-ins such as VocalTuner, Harmonizer and Doubler are included, expanding recording and performance possibilities. The built-in library is enriched with thousands of high-quality presets and samples, ready to use right out of the box.

  • Professional Effects

MPC Live III's effects section is no match for popular computer-based DAWs. In addition to EQs, compressors, delays, and reverbs, unique processors such as Pro Reverb, Super TS for analog-style saturations, and Pro Stems Separation, which allows you to separate elements of a song (vocals, drums, instruments) in real time for remixes and live rework. Every effect can be automated and integrated into performances, making the AKAI MPC Live III not just a sampler/sequencer, but a true computer-independent music recording and production studio.

  • Connectivity and maximum integration

Designed to become the powerhouse of your studio, the MPC Live III features a class-compliant USB-C port that handles up to 24 channels of audio In and Out and 32 channels of MIDI I/O: a computer or tablet interface, with direct sampling capability to smartphones as well. The 8 CV/Gate outputs allow integration of modular and analog synths into your setup, while the 2 MIDI IN and 2 MIDI OUT ports on 5-pin DIN connectors ensure full compatibility with conventional hardware. The audio section includes 2 XLR/TRS combo inputs with low-noise preamps and touchscreen-activated phantom power, 6 balanced line outputs (3 stereo), RCA phono inputs for turntables, and dedicated headphone output. There is no shortage of Wi-Fi and Bluetoothperfect for Ableton Link and synchronizations with other networked devices, as well as for direct updating from the Internet of the operating system.

  • Recording, processing and professional audio quality

AD/DA conversion takes place in the 24-bit regime, with a sample rate of 44.1, 48 or 96kHz, and DSP processing is 32-bit floating point to ensure maximum transparency. Microphone inputs support up to 59 dB gain with EIN of -131 dBu, line inputs achieve a dynamic range of 110.6 dB, and line outputs reach +12 dBu (113.8dB DR). The 50mW headphone output on 32 Ω ensures faithful monitoring with virtually any headphones. Rounding out the versatility and reinforcing the concept of production on the go we find a built-in condenser microphone and stereo monitors allow you to create and test ideas without the need for external peripherals.

  • Performance, memory and expandability of the MPC Live III

The AKAI Professional MPC Live III is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal mass storage, expandable via SSD/SATA (2.5" slot) or with SD cards. The 8-core processor (4P+4E: 4 performance and 4 efficiency cores) allows it to handle numerous simultaneous plugins, complex projects and up to 32 channels of audio I/O.

  • Portability and ruggedness

Compact and rugged, MPC Live III measures 436×256×67 mm and weighs about 4.3 kg. The lithium-ion battery provides up to 3 hours of runtime, while the included power supply ensures continuity in the studio and on stage. The reinforced body, backlit buttons and next-generation pads make it a reliable instrument capable of coping with intensive use on tour and in the recording studio.
