M-1620 Pro

New series of high-end AD/DA converters. 36 channels with ADAT, MADI, Dante or AVB-Milan compatibility.

The M-1620 Pro converts 16 line I/O from analog to digital and vice versa-the sources can be MADI Coax and SFP, ADAT or AVB (Dante in the case of the M-1620 Pro D).

In addition, two headphone outputs provide 4 additional channels for monitoring. It all takes place in a single-unit 19-rack device with a newly designed front panel that combines individual level meters directly on the machine's display. A must-have addition for immersive audio installations, it is also a versatile extension to any audio network. A number of advanced features complete the I/O equipment: two network ports provide redundancy or allow cascading within the same network (Dante model only). BNC and coaxial connectors for MADI or Word Clock are provided by default while optical MADI can be added with an optional SFP module, making it ideal for applications requiring a large number of channels at high sample rates. Channels from both MADI ports can be individually routed to and from the AVB or Dante ports. Dante connectivity was a frequent request and has been integrated to work natively on the M-1620 Pro hardware. This provides the ability to directly connect other audio devices via a standard network switch and allows users to directly record and playback up to 64 channels from their computer to any of the M-1620's analog and digital I/O using the Dante Virtual Sound Card (license not included).AVB models transmit and receive up to 128 channels at 48 kHz (96@96k, 64@192k) with precise, fixed latency across the entire network. Each device reveals its status and configurable options to the network's ATDECC controllers, allowing it to be integrated into systems using the open IEEE 1722.1 standard.

Control of all device states is directly from the front panel via the 2.54 TFT screen for convenient, direct access to all functions. The built-in routing matrix allows all analog inputs to be quickly routed directly to the headphone output, as well as all digital signals and network streams. This makes troubleshooting signal, clock, connectivity, or other problems simple and straightforward!
