AKAI MPK mini 4 Grey

Akai Professional MPK Mini IV is the compact and versatile MIDI controller designed for modern musicians, beatmakers and producers. It offers a 25-key mini keyboard with next-generation "best-in-class" keybed, 8 RGB backlit MPC pads sensitive to velocity and pressure, dedicated Pitch and Modulation wheels, 8 360-degree encoders, and a color display for immediate and complete control. USB-C connectivity and 5-pin DIN MIDI Out ensure maximum flexibility, while the new Studio Instrument Collection with more than 1,000 professional presets programmed by AIR Music Tech, Akai Pro and Moog expands creative possibilities from the very first use. Total control and instant workflow On the dashboard are eight backlit RGB MPC pads, sensitive to velocity and pressure, organized on two banks for a total of 16 trigger pads. The pads can operate in Note, Control Change or Program Change mode, allowing direct control of software instruments, MIDI outboards or DAWs. The color display provides real-time feedback on parameters, presets and functions, while the central encoder and eight 360-degree assignable knobs allow direct and immediate management of plug-ins, virtual instruments and mixers. The expanded transport section allows complete control over playback, recording, loops, overdubs, undo/redo and automations, seamlessly integrating with leading music production software. The 8 assignable encoders The MPK Mini IV's eight infinite encoders offer precise and dynamic control over software and hardware parameters. Each encoder can be assigned to a specific Control Change number (CC#) and configured with customized minimum and maximum values. Two operating modes can be chosen: Absolute, which sends fixed values from 0 to 127 based on rotation, and Relative, which sends proportional increments or decrements, ideal for smooth automations in DAW software. By holding down the ARP button, these controls act on arpeggiator parameters, thus controlling Swing, Gate, Octave and Mutate, with mmediate feedback on the color display. Musical Modes and Advanced Functions Akai Pro MPK Mini IV offers a full suite of creative functions for composition and performance: Chord Mode to generate full chords with customizable inversions and scales; Scale Mode to play only the notes belonging to a selected scale; Advanced Arpeggiator with Up, Down, Inclusive, Exclusive, Random, Chord and Ordered modes, synchronizable to internal or external clock; Pattern Mode to create sequences with accents, sustain, ratchet and off-step with up to 16 storable patterns; Pure MPC-style Note Repeat for precise rhythms with even triplet divisions and adjustable swing. Program Edit and Global Menu Through the Program Edit mode, the user can create custom presets by editing MIDI channel, Notes, Program Change and Control Change assigned to each pad or knob, as well as minimum/maximum values and Absolute or Relative behavior. The Global Menu allows you to configure hardware parameters such as pad aftertouch (Channel or Poly), keyboard response curve (Light, Normal, Heavy), sustain polarity, DIN MIDI source (USB or internal), and transport key mode (Note On or Note On/Off). Connectivity of the AKAI PRO MPKmini MKIV On the rear panel we find a USB-C port for power and MIDI data exchange, a 5-pin DIN MIDI Out and a 1/4" TS sustain pedal input. The controller communicates with the computer via five dedicated virtual MIDI ports: MPK Mini IV MIDI Port, DAW Port, Plugin Port, Software Control Port and DIN Port. MPK Mini IV is bus-powered but can also operate via optional 5V power supply. Integration with major DAW software Akai Professional MPK Mini IV offers deep integration with major DAWs through pre-programmed scripts for Ableton Live, Logic Pro, FL Studio, Bitwig and Cubase. Each software is manageable via 1-to-1 mapping that allows direct control of preset, mixer and transport parameters. The PLUGIN/DAW button lets you instantly switch between DAW mode (for controlling the host software) and PLUGIN mode, dedicated to managing the Studio Instrument Collection virtual instrument. The color display automatically updates information depending on the active mode, ensuring a smooth, seamless workflow. Software and sound library Included in the package is the new Studio Instrument Collection, a virtual instrument developed by Akai, AIR and Moog with more than 1,000 professional presets. The controller is pre-mapped 1-to-1: simply turn knobs and press pads to navigate through sounds and adjust parameters without having to use a mouse. Ableton Live Lite 12, plus trials of Melodics and Splice, complete the package so you can start producing music right away. Construction and Portability With a weight of just 1 kg and dimensions of 347.5×45.7×192 mm, the MPK Mini IV is designed to fit into any workspace or mobile setup, offering complete control in a solid, well-maintained chassis ready for production anywhere.
