D.I. Box Warm Audio D.I. Boxes have uncommon versatility with pads to attenuate the input signal from -3dB to -30dB. This will allow you to tame any input source.
Typical applications for a Warm Audio D.I. Box
A Warm Audio D.I. Box is used to connect electronic instruments such as guitars, basses, keyboards or drum machines directly to the P.A. or a recording system, in a nutshell converting unbalanced high-impedance signals to balanced low-impedance signals.
This way your instrument signals will have the correct voltage level, with no more problems of distortion or unwanted noise.
DIRECT BOX ACTIVE vs. DIRECT BOX PASSIVE
The D.I. Box Warm Audio active is preferred for instruments with passive and acoustic pickups.
The active Warm Audio D.I. Box can also work in passive mode.
Passive D.I. is preferred for balancing the signal of instruments with active electronics but also works well on passive pickups producing a frequency range that exceeds the bandwidth of of most passive DIs on the market.
CONVENIENCE JACKS
Both Warm Audio D.I. Boxes offer the ability to relay the incoming instrument signal, splitting it for other destinations besides the mixer or recording system.
