Moog Music DFAM

Already unveiled as a preview and limited edition in May 2017 at Moogfest in Asheville, Moog is now introducing the DFAM module - an acronym for Drummer From Another Mother - Semi-Modular Analog Percussion Synthesizer - to the market.

Drummer From Another Mother (DFAM) is a semi-modular percussion synthesizer handcrafted in the U.S. Moog factory and is the first synth to be added to the Mother-32 family, a table-top semi-modular synth with onboard sequencer in Eurorack format.

With DFAM it is possible to build rhythmic patterns in a simple and intuitive way, with the ability to intervene in the modification of each parameter at runtime. As with the Mother-32, there is an onboard step-sequencer in 8x2 format. The circuitry is 100% full analog, and there are two oscillators, a Moog Ladder analog filter with selectable Low/High Pass, and three envelope generators. The waveforms capable of providing the two onboard oscillators are independently selectable square and triangle, and a noise generator is also provided.

DFAM.jpgThanks to the 3 DFAM envelopes, it allows for the creation of ultra-high impact rhythms in combination with the built-in sequencer. Also included with each unit is a pack of Moog patch cables for use with the 24-point modular patchbay: so you can of course also interface with the Mother-32 for unprecedented creative possibilities.
